Highly Motorvated for 70 years
We define the standard for contract manufacturing of electric motors and components as the largest player in North America.
Created as an extension of a General Motors division in the 1950s under the name IEC Holden, we were born with Fortune 500 DNA. In the decades that ensued, we mastered the craft of building electric motors for mission-critical industry applications.
In the 2000s we reinvented ourselves under new ownership by embracing a start-up attitude. IEC Holden expanded US operations and added Mexico and South Africa. We became a faster, more trusted and customer-focused company with the same passion for unparalleled quality. Aftermarket overhaul capabilities were added in 2025 with the acquisition of Motor Coils Mfg. Ltd., a rail industry institution since 1954.
In 2025, MKP Partners invested for a minority stake, adding further fuel to our trajectory.
Today we are reborn as Rockit.
